Mercedes-Benz SL Roadster 2012

This car is famous enough. Besides the pride of Mercedes cars has never died and continues to be produced.
Mercedes-Benz SL manufactured by Mercedes since 1954. SL designation comes from the German Sport Leicht, or Sport Light - and was first applied for the 'Gullwing' named also after 300SL gullwing or upward-opening doors. The term SL-Class refers to a variety of marketing vehicles, including a variety of machine configurations that include a five-generation designs.

In 2003, the all-new SL (initially just a 5.0 L SL500 version) featured retractable hardtop (marketed as the Vario Roof) available on the SLK since 1997. It featured the 5.0 L 302 hp (225 kW) V8, with a 5.4 L AMG V8 supercharged SL55 AMG came in 2002. V12 engines are available in the SL600 and SL65 AMG limited production.

SL receives a face lift in 2008 featuring a new front end that evokes the classic 300SL with a large grille featuring three-pointed star and prominent "power dome" twin on the hood, this car also features new headlights with "optional Intelligent light system "and speed-sensitive steering system.

In December of 2011 Mercedes-Benz will unveil the all new SL-Class. This will be the first all aluminum Mercedes-Benz vehicles. This initial release is expected to include, downsized twin-turbo charged, 4.6L V8 power plant that produces 435 PS (429 bhp / 320 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque.
